Trans went bye bye

Well the trans.. 1st and reverse took a crap in my 05 screw with 61k jus past my drivetrain warranty.. frick! i think it was from towing a friend last week... didn't know how to keep the tow line taught.. had one hard jerk.. it started to make a whurring sound.. finally today it sounded like it wasn't getting any fluid flowing through it.. reverse and 1st was jerky kinda like it was being held back.. had to give it more gas to get it going.. one it shifted out of first it was ok or i should say better..

guess i'll be giving alltrans a call or maybe the dealer..

i have the edge evo cs programmer that's been on there for a while way before this happened... no codes from the programmer.. put it back to stock and no change..

Make sure you're just not low on fluid.

update - took my truck to the ford dealer since i know one of the service managers there..first and reverse went out.. he said that his mechanic was saying that it's better off to buy a new trans to the tune of about $2700 but it has to be shipped from the mainland so it'll be a couple weeks... so my truck sits patiently at the ford dealership..

fwiw, the programmers only read engine codes, they can't read codes that the transmission throws
