2 Quarts too much in transfer case?

2004 f150 new body style 5.4 4r75 4x4
I am changing my transfer case oil pulled to fill plug 2+ quarts of trans fluid came out then removed drain plug and another 2 quarts came out. I figured it is leaking from transmission somehow. Any Ideas? is this normal? 107k first transfer case serviced. Changed fluid in the transmission at 50k with amsoil atf. Fluid that came out of transfer case was still red and clean. Any Ideas let they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks In Advance,
Brian

This is somewhat common - there's a seal between the tranny and TC that can leak. Until you can pull the TC and fix it, keep an eye on the tranny fluid.
