Question Transmission and Inclines?

My 2008 F-150 continuously downshifts and upshifts while going up even the slightest highway inclines and headwinds while the cruise control is engaged. I'm not towing anything. It did this when it was new and before any modifications. Now it is worse after the lift and bigger tires. Is this normal? Are we just supposed to disengage overdrive every time we go uphill or drive into the wind? Will a gear swap help? Im currently still running 3.73s with 35" tires.

Normal. If you contact Troyer, he may be able to adjust your tunes to cut some of it down.
