Transmission harsh shift 1st, 2nd gear. Please help

I just replaced my Tranmission about 3 weeks ago with a brand new one, I was driving home the other night and my tranmission shifted really hard from first to second gear and then second to third was hard also. I don't understand why a brand new transmission should have problems.. PLEASE HELP, maybe it's something simple.

Does the transmission have a warranty? Did you have the job done or did you change it yourself? Where did you find a "brand new" transmission?

Yes it has a 2 year warranty on it. I had the job done by Haselden Ford in Hemingway South Carolina (A certified Ford dealership). Also they got one from the manufacturing plant. Brand spanking new.

They are not being completely truthful - it's a rebuilt transmission. Nobody can buy brand new transmissions, not even a dealer. It may have come in a crate with Ford stickers all over it, but it's a reman.

Anyway, get it back in, that's what the warranty is for.

Yesterday I was driving home and my tranmission started slipping again. I can't drive any faster than 30 miles an hour and I can't afford to have it towed and I have work for the next week.

You have a warranty, just take it back and have them replace it .
I know it is frustrating but that's what your going to have to do.
