After just over 74,000 on my '04 FX4, the tranny went out, much more suddenly than expected. Slight slippage, error and then free spinning! After dropping the pan, hoping for a fluid issue alone, I found a broken metal ring stuck to the pan magnet.
Does anyone know or can recommend worthwhile upgrades while it gets a rebuild? Shift kit or reprogram kit as they are also called? Made my '97 much more fun to drive. Or are there other upgrades? Not ready for a tuner, but... Any thoughts are appreciated from such a great group! Thanks in advance, Rob!
