Rear Gear Ratio?

Hey guys. How do I find out what my rear gear ratio is? I have to have it for the guys at PHP to write me a custom calibration. THANKS!

If you haven't doinked with the rear end and it is stock, just look on the door jamb sticker under axle code. Then post it back here and someone will let you know.

Now if the gearing has been changed you count the teeth on the pinion gear and divide it into the number of teeth on the ring gear. But you gotta remove the cover to do it that way.

It says axle 19. Does it matter that I've put taller tires on? I had 265/60/r18 and now have 275/75/r18. Thank you for the help!

You program in the taller tires when you set up your tuner. This will also correct your speedo if you don't have cable driven speedo.

Open diff means that it is not a limited slip, like a Track-loc or a locker.

i just thought the FX2 was like the FX4 package just a 2WD version. and all the fx4s came with limited slips or trac lok as ford calls it. so i would have thought the FX2 came with one but i guess not.

No all FX4s did not come with a LS.
