Transmission question

To start off my truck is a 2005 F150 XLT supercrew 4X4 with the 5.4L and it has 106k miles on it. The differentials are equipped with the 3.55LS and I'm looking at a lift and 35 inch tires. There is no doubt in my mind that I need to re-gear and plan on going with 4.56s but the amount of cash on hand is limited.

If I use the edge evo to program for 35" tires will my transmission still constantly be shifting up and down and going in and out of overdrive?

Or would I be better off doing the lift and gears first and waiting to get the 35s since the 32s I have are still in great shape?

Thank you in advance

-Ivan

I have a 2004 5.4 with a 2 inch lift and 35 inch nitto's and regeared it using a hypertech programmer and have not had any tranmission problems.

It should be fine with reprogramming till you can afford gears. If it constantly shifts up and down and in and out of overdrive, turn overdrive off.
