Another 2011 6-speed auto going under the knife.
Looks like my complaint about the hard 1-2 kick and downshift shudder was taken seriously at the Ford dealer today. After 3 test drives by two differnt transmission-oriented people they pulled out a couple of SSM texts and ordered some 8 parts.
Then told me they need to drop the transmission, replace some clutch friction plates and a couple of other things that 'ford is concerned about with this transmission'.
Well ****.
3500 miles on the clock. Parts will take about a week to get and they could have it up to 2 weeks depending on whether anything else needs to be replaced.
