I have an 05 SCrew with a center console shifter. When I start the truck and press the button on the shifter to put it in gear it wont move. Sometimes the button will not press in at all. I have to wiggle it and press it like a thousand times to get it to finally release so I can shift the truck into gear. Once in gear it shifts fine through all gears. Any help out there?

 

Have you tried pressing harder on the brake pedal?
