Spin on trans filter

I am about ready to install my external spin on trans filter kit and have a couple questions.

1. I think the top line going into the radiator cooler is from the transmission. Is this correct?

2. Will the filter cause any significant back pressure and put too much stress on the fluid pump?

3. Any other suggestions or comments?

Thanks for any help.

Yes.

I have heard some people say that is the case but I personally have never added one to my system. I just use the stock filter and change the fluid every 30,000 miles because I tow a TT.

Have you added a trans temp gauge?

Thanks for any help.
My answers are inserted above.

Thanks for your reply grizzstang. I have not added a temp gauge but will before I do the filter mod so I can get before numbers.

Why do you think you need a spin on filter??

Sure, I've seen them in the parts catalogs, buy why?

I've got over 220,000 miles on my E4OD trans towing the TT in my sig for the last 8 years and have not had a problem... I do regular pan drops, filter changes and fluid changes without such a thing...

I just gotta ask why?

Follow the lines back and the most forward connection is the pressure side from the pump, and the cooled fluid returns from the rear. But I don't really doesn't make a difference.

I figure it is cheaper to throw a spin on filter with every oil change than to rebuild the 4R100 in my slushbox stroker.
