Well I finally got my truck to the ford dealership and the took 7 days, but they fixed it. Lets see I had some seals and springs in the overdrive assembly that were bad and then it was reading a mismatch gear ratio code in third gear, and they dropped everything out of that tranny. By the time that they were done they had replaced all of the clutches inside the tranny, along with rebuilding several servos and other little things. They also gave me a new TC, because then end play excedded the max, .180".
So now it drives nice, shifts firm and does not slip under a load.
The total cost of this to anyone having to pay in full is around 1772.00. But if you have the x-tended warranty, it could be as low as 50 bucks, as in this case, I was lucky. If anybody has any ?????? Let me know!
