im trying to replace my clutch slave cylinder on my 03' 5 speed. i have all of the bolts off and all of the linkage disconnected. i have a 2in body lift so its clearing everything including the shifter link. the damn thing still wont budge, ive rocked & rolled it back forward up and down.
is there any tips or tricks i need to know to get this tranny off??
any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds to me like something is still attached somewhere? Or either you have it in a bind somehow at an odd angle? Have you tried picking the rear of it up or checking on the very top of the trans for something connected? I know I had a harness that was still clipped on that I couldn't see that kept mine from sliding back all the way but I have an auto. Just 2 ideas.

Possible that the input shaft is "hangging up" in disc splines. Get yourself a come along, fasten one end to the trans. and other end to rear of the frame or rear axle housing, and force the trans. from the engine block. Just make sure you have all fasteners removed. Cheers!

I had the same problem, granted my truck is much older and was probably stuck from all the years on it. Once I was absolutely sure there was nothing else holding the trans to the motor I got a pry bar in between the two and wiggled it loose, I didn't bang on it real hard or anything though. Just some wiggling around the whole perimeter.

Don't you just hate when your tranny is stuck..
Good job getting your transmission off though, you know it took less of a beating with you doing it than if it went to a garage.

When I first read the title I was not sure.......
Some times it gets stuck so I also use a pry bar.
