Trans Problems '01 Screw

Hi

I have a 2001 F150 4x4 4.6 that Won't shift into 3rd or OD. No warning lights on the dash, and 1, 2 , and Reverse are fine. It has neutraled out on me once, but normally just stays in 2nd. Fluid looks and smells good, and there is no slippage in 1st , 2nd, or reverse. Truck has 96k. Am I looking at a full rebuild or is there maybe an easier solution??

Thanks
Bob

Likely you have a direct clutch problem. Very common. She'll have to come out and apart.
If you get it built, make sure you get the Alto direct clutch upgrade.
Cheers!
