HELP! No reverse or overdrive!

Driving home and all was well. Left a light, auto shift through the gears and when it went to OD it was like I was in neutral. Turned off the OD on the shift lever and made it home fine. Fluids look fine & no codes. Tried to back up in the driveway, no reverse either, WTF????

Anyone have any clues? Solenoid, wire off, etc?

THANKS!!!!!

I've done a lot of reading over the last few days and I understand that I need a reman or re-build. I'm really on the fence now though. This place has quoted me $1200 for a reman shipped to the door, new torque converter & no core charge:

Local shops are telling me $1500-$1800 and I don't have to touch it.

I am leaning towards having the local shop do it. Having a local warranty & I don't have to spend a weekend under the truck in 28* degree weather, means more the older I get.

If I had more time I would love to rebuild it myself if nothing else, for the experience. Plus to save the money. But other than the company van, this is my only means of transportation so the PROs & CONs are beating each up right now.

Just thought I would share the results. More to come I'm sure....
