I just bought a 90 ford 1/2 ton xlt lariat. i know its a dumb question but i noticed it dosnt have a second gear just reverse over drive another drive and first. if someone could maybe fill me in on it or something i would appreciate it

 

You have an AOD. That's how an AOD quadrant is set up. No manual 2nd gear start.
