Leaking Hydraulic Line to Slave
Leaking Hydraulic Line to Slave
Hey, I just finished a clutch job on my 98 4.6L and installed the improved slave with the different connector. I had a terrible time getting the line out of the old slave, but I don't believe I damaged the connection. The line went right into the new one with no hassle at all--snapped right in!
While I was tightening bolts on the tranny--about 20minutes after connecting the line--I noticed a little trail of brake fluid coming out of that connector running down the bell housing.
What's the probability that it's just a matter of putting some pressure on the o-ring, or maybe changing the o-ring to a little larger one, or something easy like that? I'm concerned about putting the whole truck back together and then having to go back and replace the slave.
