Exclamation Transmission Trouble

so my dad comes home, "jamie the truck has no first or reverse." so i go out and look at it, sure enough no 1st or reverse. and a slight squealing noise. my theory is that the filter fell off in the pan, i've heard of this happening and causing symptoms like this. i checked the edge and it threw a P1000 anybody know what that is? also advice would be helpful. i'm gonna pull the pan when i get a chance, but who knows. it's got 140,000 miles on it so might be time for a rebuild.

thanks.

P1000 is the generic code for not all sensors have completed readiness tests. It should go away after some more drive cycles. Has the battery been disconnected recently or has a tune been recently loaded?

Same here. No drive or reverse. I took it to the shop for a sparkplug change(93,000) miles and it ended up at the trans shop. Everything was working fine when Idrove it to the shop then I couldn't get it home.
