I hope someone can help a poor guy who thinks he bought a truck filled with lets say opportunities.
I was driving along and for about 2 days had heard a whine while driving that I thought was a fan clutch failure, when all of a sudden it sounded like I had driven over chatter bumps with a duration of about 3 seconds, I had the cruise on all of a sudden engine revved to about 4 grand, I hit the brake disengaged the clutch and after turning around and limping back to town, tranny failed altogether had to push off road, shut off waited, put it in gear and drove the 12 miles back home.

Chatter bump sensation
overrevved
failed
came back on after cool down period.
I have to add that I had been having problems with the O/D fuse blowing just happened to take out the one that would allow it to go into 4 low gear
