Hey everyone....Having a problem with my gear selector in my 05 FX4. This is a center councel gear shifter. To get it into reverse i have to have it half way between park and reverse. If its fully in the reverse spot thats now neutral. If i put the shifter in the drive spot the trans will only shift twice. To get it to shift through all the gears i have to put it half way between drive and neutral. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.....

 

I just had the exact same thing with my E350. The gear selector felt sloppy and landed in between the numbers. I had to either hold it up in Park or drop it to neutral to start it. It turned out to be a cable that had fallen out of a bracket. I expected much worse. All it took was putting it back in the bracket and adjusting it and all is fine again. I hope thats all thats wrong with yours.
