To flush or not to flush

What is the general consensus on flushin the trans in a 07 F150?

It's part of scheduled maintenance, isn't it? I don't know about flushing with high pressure systems, but you do need to at least change the fluid out. If you do it by simple pan drop, you'll have to do it more often because you're not getting half the fluid (or more). It's too bad they took the TC drain plugs out...

I did the service, which is drop the pan at 30,000 and added 5 quarts. then at 65,000 I did the flush at the dealer. Will probably do another flush at about 130,000.

BTW, you can install a drain plug in the tranny pan yourself. It makes fluid changes a lot easier. The drain plug kit cost about $10 at Pep Boys. I've had one in mine for 5+ years and 60k+ miles, no problems.

I recently bought a PML aluminum pan (about 2 qts. larger than stock) that has a drain plug.
