So my 5 speed went out on me yesterday and I have been looking at doing a zf swap at a later date but looks like it will end up happening now. I have a 97 with the 4.6. I have a 5.4 that I am rebuilding so that will be going in towards the end of summer and I was just curious as to what is all required to the swap or if it will just bolt right in. Any help would be much appreciated.. Thank you.

 

you will need a 3'' body lift for the big transmission to fit in the stock transmission tunnel.
