Optimal Transmission Temp for 4R75E(W)???

Hi guys,

I'm planning to buy some gauges and I would like to know what is the optimal transmission temperature for our trucks. I have a 5.4L 3.73axle 4R75W.

I want to choose a good Transmission Temperature Gauge and Oil Temperature Gauge, any opinions on whats accurate and good Quality?

I have had experience with "BLITZ" gauges - very good design and quality, but thats about it. I like the GLOWSHIFT gauges because of their price and the ability to select many colours. Anyone had experience with this?

my gryphon says mine runs at 160 when its 100 degrees outside, and pulling a 11k or so pound trailer at 60 it ran about 190, i really wouldnt want to get it any hotter then that.

Hello.

Some useful linkies:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/tr...-oil-temp.html

https://www.f150online.com/forums/tr...emp-guage.html

https://www.f150online.com/forums/tr...rans-temp.html

If you are using a Scanguage - yer fluid is quite a bit hotter than indicated by that device.

Oh yeah ... Thomabro - you are way over yer tow ratings, and yer fluid is way over 200 deg F in actuality (see linkies)
