Cedartown: Thank You for a mature response to my post! Ford "rebuilt" the one I have and it is slipping again. The problem is I am worried that when my warranty is up the tranny will go bad again! I really don't want to break down on the highway in the middle of nowhere AGAIN! They told me that they cannot put a new tranny in for some reason.

LOOK! I love my Fords of the past, This one however is a lemon! ALL manufacturers have them, Ford usually does a great job fixing problems. My 04 had an electrical problem early in it's life and Ford after many attempts repaired it and tracked it to a faulty battery. It had 40k When I sold it. If I could I would trade for that one back. I know I am unpopular here, But if ANY of you were in my shoes you would do the same thing if not worse judging by the maturity level here.
Dude we are just messing with you, but seriously you said it yourself -The truck is a lemon. These are solid trucks - just like every product made, there are always going to be a few that have issues. It's a man made product. When someone comes in and explodes like that, yes, there is going to be humor on our end at it. But you have driven Ford products for this long and you are going to abandon them?!?! I'd say that's a rash move - and I'd say the same thing if someone said that who had excellent luck from Dodge, GM's and Chevy's ect. One bad truck should not change your mind when you look at how many trucks are holding up and working hard on the road, job sites, ect. No vehicle is problem free and each one is going to have its quirks. The fact of the matter is Ford makes some of the best truck son the road. I like GM's and Chevy's myself, but I prefer the F150 the most and it just feels right to me. Ultimately it is your decision, but I would not let one bad instance ruin your outlook on Ford, just saying bud.

Blue oval: Good example of an imature post lmao! In NE the lemon law states the Manufacturer will have to buy back the truck for what I payed plus Tax and License and Lawyers fees. My lawyer isn't taking a dime from me win or lose.

Truck Guy: Thank You! You do make a lot of sense with this post. I do love my Ford when it is running right! But.. Ford MUST be held accountable for this one before I will even consider a new Ford.

You said it yourself, you've had another tranny go for 300k and other people haven't reported anything similar that I've read so it's obviously just something that's happening in this one tranny, be it your gears, clutch or whatnot because a rebuild didn't solve it and I highly doubt they put new gears and everthing in it.
I've got one, an 04, with only 120k on it now but it's never had any sort of tranny issue, only a hub problem.
Personally, I'd sick the lawyer on the drive train warranty and possibly get a replacement truck that way instead of going for a refund and then buying lower quality.

lol! you actually TRUST your lawyer??? you should trust what your lawyer say like you trust your transmission....
on another note, i agree with everyone on here. you have owned fords for so long and one thing happens, even though it was pretty major, and you want to switch. well your tranny is having problems getting moving...buy a tundra and you will have no problem getting moving...about 120mph down the highway and brakes dont work. i think a gas pedal that puts itself to the floor is worse than a bad tranny.
if your dealership wont do anything, try a different one or call higher up in the ford company. dealers are horrible to go to for repairs. my parents had a 94 crown victoria that the air conditioning would leak. they would get it charged, and it would last 1 summer then it was gone. they took it to the dealer while it was under warrantee and they found nothing. then when the warrantee expired, they found the leak and wanted to charge like $500 to fix it. they just went the route of just not having a/c anymore. also before that they had a 94 taurus that developed a tranny problem. you could not shift it out of park while the engine was running. you had to put the key in, shift to neutral, start it, then shift to drive or whatever. once you put it in park, you could not get it back out while it was running. well my parents had a "bumper to bumper" warrantee. the dealer said this problem wasnt covered under the warrantee. bottom line is dealerships suck with repairs and cannot be trusted. but you can try another dealership or call higher up.
i am not a ford guy but i have had the best luck with them. had a 78 f150 with 300k, flooded everyday but still ran like a charm. 97 ranger ran great, 04 f150 heritage ran great but had a problem that nobody could figure out so i traded it in for my 08. also had an 86 chevy C10, a 89 firebird, 96 trans am, and a 90 chrysler 5th ave. all had their problems except the trans am had 0. firebird had about $1500 worth of repairs within 2 years. my fords are the only ones other than my t/a that had usually minor problems but either way they didnt cost much to repair. seriously tho, try another dealer or call higher up.

Cedar town: NE lemon law states that the Manufacturer has to buy my truck back for what I paid for it as I said, I would however be willing to take a 2010 but they are unwilling to talk to me about that unless I pay for the truck over again essentially. I have also had some electrical problems like the sending unit has gone out twice, And periodic instrument malfunctions.

I would do some more digging man, I would try to get an different tranny altogether. I forget the name, but there is a trusted company people use on here IIRC.

Also, Timmy, I died reading your post... Capitalize letter in a sentence

If you’ve had other issues that repeated them self with this new of a truck and the dealer won’t help and if your state laws on your side screw the dealer and sue to the max screw them. Like others have said there are such things as lemons new out of the box and it sure sounds like one to me. The hell with that dealer when you do get your $ back take your business else where for sure!!! I’m sure you can easily find a Ford or any dealer for that mater willing to sell you a good hard working non lemon vehicle. Good luck with the crap dealer buying it back. Post back what ever happens.

Be a man suck it up and get it fixed the right way by another dealer/shop.When a company makes millions of trucks there going to be a lemon some where....if you quit a company after 30 good years of service your a real moron......"the proof is in in the pudding" and Ford makes the best trucks period. Good thing you didnt buy a Chevy cause you would be on your 5th tranny and 3rd engine by now.....

Try their website for phone numbers, or maybe your dealership would have the numbers. Not really sure. I never had to do it. I just work with a lady who had to call chevy higher up for a defect in the hood because the dealers wouldnt do anything. It worked, she got the hood fixed and also got some free oil changes and tire rotations for 3 years.

LOL Sorry. I basically type everything twice. Have trouble with hitting the letters out of order. Basically i type like im dislexic, but i am really not. Just type too quick for my own good so hitting shift usually makes it worse. I am usually such a stickler with stuff like that, dont know when i stopped using capital letters...
