Massive Down-shift Problem and Toyota-style acceleration
Hey guys, has anyone with a 2009/2010 had the situation described below?
Today I was driving and a light turned yellow on me just at the point where you hit the gas or burn the breaks, so I hit the gas (did not floor it though). The electronic throttle lagged, but I saw that I was going to make it through the light fine, so I backed off the pedal. About 1.5 seconds later, (my foot is off the throttle at this point) the truck accelerates like crazy then immediately back down corresponding to my foot being off the pedal. At the same time as the acceleration and immediate deceleration, the tranny jumps down who knows how many gears hard enough to literally slam my head pretty hard against the headrest.
Just to be clear, this entire episode happened AFTER my foot was off the pedal.
It has down shifted hard before, but NOTHING like this. It was about as bad as when I got in a mild fender-bender with my old truck.
Any advice, ideas would be great. Thanks!

sounds like a electronic computer issue take it to the dealer and get a reflash
