Ive got an '02 150 2wd 4.6 4r70w. The tranny is having some issues. First off, I'f I'm driving down the interstate, or over 50mph or so, and give it enough throttle to where it will down shift out of OD, the engine slowly revs to the limiter and then will down shift back to third. The shift will also be very harsh. Also I'f I'm crusing at 30 mph and then floor it, I get sorta the same thing. it will go to down shift, bounce off the rev limiter like its in neutral, then violently drop in to first. Doesn't always do it though, but most of the time it will. And every so often, if I go to take off from a light it will slip just a little bit then catch all of a sudden.

The fluid sorta fresh, I had to swap out my engine last year, so I emptied the converter out, and replaced all the fluid that spilled out, the level is good to.

Any Ideas. Are all these issues related?

 

does anyone responded? I have same problem. Many have commented that the Manual Level Position Sensor may be responsible.
