i got a 03 standard, flareside with 3:55 gears & i want to upgrade to 4:10s
i want to know if i need to upgrade anything else along with the 4:10s? anything to the tranny?
your suggestions & advise is appreciated!

 

Get a master install kit with the 4.10s and you'll need to readjust the odometer or it will be off.
You can do it with some of the tuners out there I think, or you could get custom tuning.
Any good tuner can put in your tier size and the 4.10s to make your speedometer right.

cool thanks man. just so i know what exactly is a master install kit?? & my engine is a 4.2, i wouldnt need to do anything to my tranny or anything like that? or would i?

 

Engine and tranny will be fine. A master install kit has all new bearings, seals, gaskets, etc.
