When is it ready?

I know I have a long time to really worry about this but when do you know when your engine is too powerful for your transmission and you would have to swap it for a new one? I'm planning on doing some minor upgrades to my engine this spring with an edge evo, CAI, and a performance chip along with my already installed duel exhaust and i know I should have to worry about it yet but later down the road when I'm starting to do the major upgrades when will I know I would need to swap?

When you exceed the torque rating of your transmission. Ie: 4R75W is good for 750 ft lbs of torque at the flywheel. Your torque almost converter doubles the torque when it is fully slipping. Ford claims to have 90% of the engine torque at 2000 rpm so you can do the math. 750/2 is 375 x 1.1 is 410 at peak. Not a lot of room for failure.
