This started last night...

I was driving when suddenly I heard a loud noise under my truck. I thought my tranny had come loose or my spare came off as it was that bad.

I pulled over immediately and started looking under my truck, pulling on things, and nothing appeared to be out of order.

I got back in and and started to leave, but when I hit the gas, the vehicle didn't pick up speed as usual and shook violently from the floor. It felt like it was coming from the transmission. I turned around 4 miles out from home and started heading back.

When I let off the gas and hit it again it would shake and seem like it was slipping...

Tranny/Truck only has 130k miles on it! Damn ford... could this be it!?

Could it be something else? God, I hope. Don't have 2 or 3 grand to replace or rebuild.

 

Get under there and check your driveshaft and u-joints first.
