Bad cluthch or synchros?

I have a 1999 f-150 4.2 5 speed with 95,000 miles. Every once in a while, i have trouble shifting into 1st from a stop. Seems as the truck warms up a bit, it's easier to shift. Reverse can be tough to get into as well as 5th on the freeway.Third gear grinds a bit too every now and then. The clutch engages just before the pedal is let out halfway. This is the second clutch which was replaced at about 65,000 miles. I'm wondering if the synchros might be going out?

Getting close to needing a tranny rebuild! It is had to tell if it is the synchros or engagement gears. Either way, if your going to be tearing into it, your going to want to just rebuild it and be done!

Oh boy I ws thinking the same thing, that if the synchros are bad, might as well re-build the whole tranny. What's that going to cost, about 2 K?

I forgot to ask in the previous post if it's better, or cheaper, to overhaul my existing tranny or buy a re-built one.
