Trans fault
Trans fault
This morning pulling out of the driveway the truck beeped and I looked down and the lcd on the dash of the truck said "trans fault" and the o/d light was blinking. I pulled over, shut it off, restarted and everything seemed normal so I continued on my 50km (30 mile) commute to work without issue. Everything seemed as normal as any other day.
I did a little google search on this problem and got answers anywhere between it's nothing to the world is about to explode.
I pulled the code with the Gryphon and it was P0731 which is apparently "gear 1 incorrect ratio"
My truck is an 07 Supercrew FX4, 45,000 miles, bone stock with the exception of a leveling kit installed last weekend. I drive like the stereotypical grandpa and 90% of my driving is my 60 mile round trip highway commute to and from work. New tires (35's) are coming this weekend (well if they find the lost delivery truck) but I don't want to put them on if the truck has to go back to the dealer for warranty just to avoid any kind of b.s.
I have no idea if this is related in any way but I figure more info is better than not enough. It was a cold and wet this morning (it's Vancouver in the winter) and my driveway is an incline (I'd guess 25-30 degrees) I normally park facing up, but last night it was nose down as I had to unload some stuff. That is about the only thing that wasn't typical of every day of this truck's existence.
Any thoughts?

Any luck with your problem? I had a new tranny put in a few weeks ago and on my way to work this morning the same thing happend to me.
I was coasting down a hill in first fumbling for my lighter then I got the O/D flashes and Transmission Failure message. Checked my edge tuner and got P0731 code.
