t-18 or np-435?

t-18 or np-435?

i need to replace the 4 speed in my truck and need to kno the difference between the warner t-18 and the np-435. i have no idea which one is in the truck and i have no idea which one the one that i found is.

I installed a NP435 in my 72 Bronco. That was a beast of a transmission, and in 1st gear low range I could have pulled a house down the street!

You can find out what came in the truck if you can still read the door jamb sticker - trans code "A" is a NP-435 and a T-18 or T-19 is trans code F or P. The difference between the T-18 and T-19 is the T-18 has a non-synchro granny and the T-19 has a synchro granny.
