Cool Need towing advice

I have a f150 4.6 06 four door truck. Everything is stock except my exhaust and my bumpers. I need to know if my truck can pull a 2 horse trailer with one horse in it. I have already pulled it but planning on pulling it tmrw and don't wanna do it if I'm messing my truck up.

Thanks

youll be fine, well within your real world ratings. just remember to be safe, drop it down out of OD for hills, especially if you feel or fear your slipping / locking unlocking the torque converter.

Thanks man, there are no hills where I am going, all straight highway. Since o/d is usually on when I start my truck should I turn it off?

I'd keep the OD off to be on the safe side. The tranny will run much cooler under load with it off.

not always true, depends on the load. some people have reported higher temps w/ OD off, while it may be within 10 degree range, it was still higher.

bottom line, your truck, do what you feel is safe and take our recommendations as just that, recommendations

Based on my experience it does run cooler but as with everything I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule.
