anythings possible with enough time and money

how do you want to do it? SAS is your best option. any other way just won't be worth it.

search straight axle in the forums and see what you find.

My cousin bought a lifted 77 ford and it was a 4x4 atleast he thought untill we got underneath and saw there they put a small notch in the frame so the part where the front drive shaft connects would fit lol

so yeah its possible lol

SAS = Solid Axle Swap.

Look up 4.2 Trimble, he just competed a SAS swap on his truck. There is one other guy too but I forget his handle.

a SAS and 2/4wd swap would be quite expensive if im not mistaken. There is the price of the axle, the fab work to install it, the price of a differential/transmission, new rear drive shaft because the new differential will make you use a shorter shaft, and the front shaft, plus if you do a SAS you might as well lift it or else its somewhat pointless if you ask me, so then theres the cost of the lift kit. and bigger tires. where theres a will theres a way! just go for it try and see if you can get it done!
