Yip, looks like the ol 4r70w is saying "get me the hell outta here!" behind 10# of boost through the Navi motor, so I will be doing the 4r100 swap.
From what I have learnt on the forums, the 4r100 that comes in the Lightning is a diesel spec transmission with more clutches and stonger internals than the regular 4r100.
My question is how do I identify a Lightning tranny from a regular 4r100 tranny?

 

The tag ID is the only external way I know, besides the fact it will have a 6 bolt converter and modular bellhousing. Some 5.4's and v10's were the same way however.
