Trannys slipping

So i just hit 115k and my tranny is statring to slip in 3rd gear, it started when it would shift into 4th gear and id slow down to 40 to 45 it would jump and not wana speed up, than jump into over drive as i gave it more gas. So now my question is, what do i do now? If im going to have to get a new tranny i want a very strong one. I herd one time that a bigger f series like a f250 hd will bolt up to my 4.6 is this true?

Have you ever changed your tranny fluid? How does the fluid on the stick look and smell?

Yes it will bolt up but there's a LOT more involved in swapping over to the 4r100 tranny.
You would need the trany and the computer out of the truck it came from to operate it. Also you would need the 4r100 flex plate, torque converter, trany wire harness, dash wire harness, cross member. Plus you'll need to have your driveshaft shortened and your exhaust rerouted to get around the bigger trany.
There may be things I forgot but it's a big ,expensive job.
A lot cheaper to have your 4r70w built stronger. If that's what you end up needing.
