Stuck in gear

'01 F 150 194k miles AOD tranny, seems to be stuck in gear, no neutrel. At one point today it would shift, but wouldn't move until the engine was rev'ed then it would jump forward, nothing in reverse.
My question, Anyone have a clue what the repair costs are for the AODs? The value of the truck isn't much. I'm wondering if a used one is worth a try/
Any help?

The 01's don't have AOD, they have 4R70W's or 4R100's.

Oops!

I assumed it was an AOD. Does anyone have a guess at repair costs? An/or the cost of trading out a trans? I'd like to be prepared when I talk to the local shop. So I don't have a corinary on the spot.
Thanks

My '01 supercrew with the 4r70w cost 2800 for a rebuild and torque converter. Had a bearing fail near the planetary gears that sent metal threw out the trany. Not a uncommon problem for this year/model.
