4r70 do i need hardened hard parts

i have an 01 4x4 with an 03 L engine in it, it puts 510 ft/lbs to the wheels.
i have a 6 inch lift with 35s an 4:10 gears. I am going to rebuild my 4r70, do i need hardened hard parts. if so who makes them? what converter should i go with? do they make drums that will fit a few more frictions and steels? what are the problems that i can eliminate in this build?
thanks for any help

you can get some hardened parts aftermarket like an intermediate stub shaft, others are simply new production ford parts that are hardened or heat treated. I would personally talk to Darrin on these forums. he's built my tranny and i love it. he'll probably be by soon anyway. check my sig for his website for contact info.
