Explorer Trans R & R Question

OK, I know it isn't an F150, but I hoping someone here can help me help out a high school kid with limited funds. I've pulled many a tranmission, auto and manual, but only out of 50's, 60's & early 70's cars.

Does anyone know if I'll run into any unusual problems pulling a manual trans from an early 90's Explorer? I'd hate to get into the project only to discover I need specialty tools or it can't be pulled with the car up on jacks.

Thanks.

It's pretty straight forward. The clutch hydraulic line has a quick connect fitting at the slave cylinder. You push the white sleeve into the fitting to release it. There is a tool for it but you can usually get by with a couple of small screwdrivers.
The Y-pipe needs to come out. Unbolt it after the cat/s, not right after the Y. Be careful with the bolts at the manifold collectors. You DO NOT want to break them off in the manifolds so start soaking them with penetrating oil well ahead of taking them out.
Don't forget to take the shifter handle off inside the vehicle. After you have the boot/bezel loose there is a cross bolt that holds the handle on. Take the nut off then thread it onto the opposite side of the bolt to pull it out of the shifter/handle.
The rear driveshaft bolts are 12mm 12point so make sure you have a socket or wrench for that.
I'm not sure why you're pulling the trans, but it's a good idea to replace the slave cylinder while you're in there.
That's all I can think of at the moment, let me know if you have any other questions.
