2001 F150 question

have a 2001 F150 4x4 w/the off road package and ~86,000 miles. Transmission slips when going from drive to first and when starting from a stop but only seems to happen when the engine is cold. I followed the procedures in the manual to check the fluid level and it looks low. Want to add some fluid to see if the problem goes away. Question is where the hell do I put the fluid? Can't find a fill cap anywhere

The trans dipstick tube is the fill. One of those funnels with the ~18" hose attached is perfect for this.

Yer welcome. Better to ask than mess something up!

It will probably take less fluid than you think to bring it up to the correct level. Add slowly-- it ain't easy to take it back out!
