Op Temp in winter

I FINALLY got my trans temp gauge working. It reads from 120-300*F. I just made a 12 mile drive, ranging from 30-55MPH, stop and go. Just as I was turning into my driveway the needle moved up and got just above 120*. ITas about 17* outside

Does that seem ok? 4R70W

Considering the ambient temperature, you're doing just fine.

As long as it's above 95, it will be fine. That's when it allows it to go into OD and lets the TC lock.

When I was driving around in the -25 degrees C (I am not sure what that is in F so let's just say really frikken cold) my gage was only getting to about 55 degrees F (my digital gage goes from 0 to 300). It shifted, ran fine and would go into overdrive but when it was that cold I turned overdrive off. I have a thermostat to put in but it only opens at 180 degrees F and I kind of like the that it will go cooler than 180 in the summer. I am torn as to whether or not I should put it in. Any thoughts?

If it's really bothering you, you need to relocate that driveway. Try California. Your temps are sure to climb.

It reached 150 going to work today. I than pulled in the parking lot and idled for a few mins. I watch the gauge go all the way below my 120 mark. . .
