Question transfer case and gears question

Hello its been a while.
the deal is is that i had found a leak around the tranny pan and drove the truck to the shop that did my gears and they say that my transfer case is leaking along with the adapter housing gasket and they will fix it at charge. but i thought that they broke into the transfer case when they did the gears. AAMCO refuses that they did.

is this true or am i out $600?

thank you very much.

Your out 600 bucks!
To change your gears,,they did not have to touch your tranny or T case!
They only change the gears in your front and rear differential.

Just so you know. The transfer case is sealed at the input end (where it is bolted to the transmission). The transmission is sealed at the output end, extension housing adapter. Ford in their infinite wisdom put a gasket where the t-case bolts to the transmission. Why? I do not know as there is also a drain hole at that joint. So either the transfer case is leaking or the transmission is leaking. Or both.... You have to remove the transfercase to service either leak. There is a couple of hours work just in removal and reinstall.
