4x4 problem
There is a switch on the transfer case just below the vent tube. Check the connector for corrosion. I will look up the schematics to see which wire to probe and how and get back.
Sorry for the delay. There should be 2 wires. One is Gray. Ground that one and see if the light turns on. This one sends a ground signal to the GEM to command 4x4. The GEM then turns on the 4x4 light and engages the front axle. If the light turns on the switch in the t-case is most likely defective. If it doesn't turn on check that wire by following it along the harness to see if it is cut. To test the switch shift into 4Lo and test both switch terminals for continuity to ground. In Lo both should have continuity. Shift into 4Hi and the gray wire terminal on the switch for continuity. if the switch works then post back for more diagnostics.
