we are having problems with our used 2004 f150 4x4.
sounds like the problem is the same as others I have read here...while driving the truck I heard a noise like thump/dragging noise...but nothing under the truck...the noise is heard all the time in 2wd...if you put the truck in 4x4Hi it goes away. so I think its maybe the soleniod? a couple of days ago we bought the upgraded soleniod with the shield on it....my question is, what do we do next? we have not put the new part on yet..needed to know if there was something else we need to do before putting it on?

our ford dealership was no help to us being they are closing up shop on this friday (nov. 7th) after 93 years....
