Just scanned for codes and there are no codes at all. The solenoids are correctly being commanded. The transmission shop said I was probably right in thinking it a bad solenoid.

In thinking about this, is there a pressure sensor that tells the solenoids when to activate on the up shift?

I finally found the problem, Thanks I-M Tech you were very close to being right on the money. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/78...-3rd-fine.html

When I went to buy the 2-3 Accumulator Piston the parts guy at the transmission shop suggested I also buy the 2-3 spring as well as he said they find the 2-3 spring broken often.

Well imagine my surprise, I found the spring for the 2-3 Accumulator Piston broken into three pieces.

The transmission shifts perfect now.
