i got a 1994 f150 and the od button is gone and the wirers are hangin. also the tranny goes in reverves but no forward. any simple things to check or major problems here they come. any help i can use , dont know much about this tranny at all.

 

fwd clutch smoked, or fwd planet splines wiped clean.

 

I had the same problem. I replaced all the clutch packs (forward was smoked) the seals and the reverse piston spring (broken into pieces) after geting it all back together it is still is not working. I am going to pressure test it tonite. I hope its just the pump. I am not a professional mechanic I am just sharing my experiance.
