Front is open. I know a few pre '97s were special ordered with front limited slip, but all were with rear LS first and designated with a three digit axle code.

Locker ain't too hard to put in if you want to do the effort. You need to find out if you have the 8.8 or 9.5 rear.

If your truck has a 4.6 in it it's a 8.8 rear.
If you have the 5.4 it's a 9.75 rear.
The front diff in both should be 8.8
