I switched the 4r70w out of my 98f150 with another one from a wreck that I scored. Now when I start the truck it runs real rough when i rev it and I put it in gear and it has no power at all and runs rough. The OD light is flashing as well. So I tried going under and unplugging the plug on the passenger side of trans and the truck runs fine but, it just doesnt shift when unplugged. What could it be. Thanks for the info and help. This is my first post on the site so bare with me if youve heard the question a hundred times. Im sorry just need a little help.

 

Is the tranny out of the wreck a '98 too? Sounds like a PCM compatibility problem.

 

The flashing OD light is your signal to get the codes read. The power to the solenoids is fed through the same circuit that the MAF is on.
