Question 2006 tranny acting funny

Well I hope someone here has heard of this before. I have a 2006 F-150 XLT with 5.4 tow package 2wd and only 17k miles. When I come to a stop like a light or have to wait a bit before taking off again the tranny feels like it is in neutral then it will clunck into gear and start moving. The rest of the trip it shifts just fine and no problems. But when I do stop it will not do it all the time maybe 40% of the time I stop. Took it to the dealer they said they didnt have it happen to them on a test drive.(well of course not) They said they did reprogram the ecm said it was in a service bulletin but same thing. Going to take it back on Monday for round two any hints for them? Thanks

Sounds like they need to check the slip yoke, TSB 05-26-11 The dealer didn't feel mine the first time either so I took the mechanic for a ride until it did it. On the first visit they greased the slip yoke with teflon based grease on the second visit they replaced my driveshaft.

Well thought I would update the findings to maybe help others. Took the truck back to dealer about 4 times still no help, then took it to another dealer that actually wanted to find the problem. Tore tranny out replaced clutch pack and torque converter said there was abnormal wear, but problem still there. Tech had it for another week calling ford for more ideas, after doing a bunch of tests found out the tranny case had a crack in it and was loosing pressure. Ford told him that they have had problems with cracked cases on 2004-2007 models. They sent out a new case and problem is solved 5000 miles and all is still good.
