Bleeding Clutch
Bleeding Clutch
I installed a clutch and slave cylinder last fall. I seem to be having problems correctly bleeding the slave cylinder. I did not initially "bench" bleed the slave cylinder before installing. It worked great for the first couple months but now I seem to be constantly bleeding the clutch. It does not use any fluid and the clutch master cylinder is new as well. Right after I bleed it it works great for a couple days slowly going back to surging and hard gear engagement.
Any tips for properly bleeding the clutch would be great.
Thanks.

Also might want to recheck all of the flare fittings that you had open when you swapped the parts...might've got a little booger of dirt or a burr of steel on one of the seating surfaces letting air slowly get into the system.
Interesting I never thought about reverse bleeding. How would you keep fluid from coming out of the bleeder screw? Do you mean remove the bleeder screw and put something in it's place to seal it up and start filling it up from the bottom? Seems like gravity may be going against you here. Is that what you ment?
This thing is dry and does not use any fliud. If this latest attempt doesn't work out I will drain it and start over.
Thanks guys for all your help. I do appreciate it!!
