Converter unlocks & Codes thrown

In third or fourth, either slightly applying the gas, OR going up a low grade, the converter locks, unlocks, locks, etc...

I've read the other posts-but they don't apply. 5.4/ 4.10 rear end, 4w75r, stock 235's.

The engine light blinked several times this morning, then stayed on.

Going to the dealer tonight, but you guys know more than the mechanics, so I like to get the real deal, and dump it on them, so they don't keep my truck for a week for no reason.

Thanks in advance,

I'm reading that a remedy might be cleaning the MAF? I have an S&B, which has been on for 6 months. Does a fouled MAF cause the torque converter to misbehave?

Before you take it to the dealer, take it over to Autozone and get the codes read. It's a free service. Post the codes here - just the P-numbers, we don't need to know what the monkeys at the Zone think they are.

How many miles on it? I'd think plug or cop - but it might be a fouled injector or a loose cop/injector connector.

As a follow-up-the dealer is considering replacing the motor completely. The crankshaft has too much endplay, and '07's have a history-found on this site.
